Private Tours of San Francisco.

Hi there, we are David and Emilie Boitano.  As 50 plus year natives of San Francisco, my wife and I offer an informal, yet intimate, personal private tour of our home town ---San Francisco!!

We have lived in San Francisco for all our lives and know the town, sites, food, music, clubs, history and traditions, like the back of our hands.  We know you will be very happy to tell all your friends about your San Francisco tour experience with San Francisco Tours Your Way!

We have toured San Francisco and the surrounding greater Bay Area to many friends and family over the years and always get calls and emails for our advice on just about everything in San Francisco.  This is why we started our tours.

You're on vacation or taking a business break, so relax; let us make suggestions and guarantee you will not only have a great time, but you, your family or guests will remember this private walking tour of San Francisco experience the rest of your life.

We are not one of those big time tour operators who stuff you into a van, bus or huge group and rush you around in three hours to get onto the next tour.  We are a low key and friendly couple who have been together for over forty years; enjoy the company of other people and the San Francisco Bay Area life style.  We will help you pick an itinerary that allows you to see traditional sites and the hidden treasures of our "City By The Bay" at your pace.   We call our tour a crawl since we will gently walk about San Francisco historic areas at a comfortable pace.  No rush, no fuss just fun.

Emilie loves taking photos and videos so you will have a free photographic record of your San Francisco visit to enjoy for years to come.  She will post them on line and send you a link so you and your friends can enjoy them at your leisure, download them or print them out for free.  The photo web hosting company also offers other options for a fee such as t-shirts, mugs, key chains, photo albums ETC.

We will meet you at your San Francisco Cruise Ship Dock, Downtown Hotel, Fisherman's Wharf Hotel or any of San Francisco's landmark sites which will be the start of youSan Francisco's Coit Tower On Russian Hillr San Francisco private tour.  You will see all the important and beautiful sites plus several hidden places only natives of San Francisco know about.  We can also suggest great eats and other activities to allow you to get the most of your visit here in San Francisco.

Coit Tower, which rises over North Beach, is a San Francisco icon.>>

The beloved city takes up just 46 square miles. You could fit 10 of it into Los Angeles, three into Portland.

It's also the second most densely populated major city in the country, after New York, and its 800,000 plus inhabitants thrive on proximity-to one another's ideas, to the world's wealth of dinning, to museums for art, science, history, and cartoons, live theatre, live music... and to hills overlooking saltwater, fog, bridges, islands, and other towns.

Here's a sliver of a San Francisco tour's everyday delights we can cover during our private tour.  The Marina Greens, The Wave Organ, Palace of Fine Arts, Presidio/Fort Point under the Golden Gate Bridge, walk across The Golden Gate Bridge, Sausalito, Legion of Honor, Holocaust Memorial, Cliff House, Sutro Baths, Beach Chalet (Tourist Center), Golden Gate Park, Stow Lake, De Young Museum, Japanese Tea Garden, California Academy of Sciences Aquarium - Museum and Planetarium, House of Flowers, Haight-Ashbury District, Twin Peaks, The Castro District, Mission Dolores Church, Dolores Street, 24th Street Mission District, Mission District Alley Street Murals, San Francisco Giants Stadium, San Francisco Ferry Building, Market Street, The Oakland Bay Bridge, Treasure Island, Yerba Buena Gardens, SF Museum of Modern Art, Louis Davies Hall, The Asian Art Museum, City Hall, Civic Center, Belden Alley and Claude Alley also know as our French Quarter, Alamo Square, Victorian Painted Ladies, Fillmore Street, Japantown, St. Mary's Cathedral, Union Square, The Theatre Distract, Nob Hill, Fairmont Hotel, Mark Hopkins Hotel, Grace Cathedral, The Cable Car Museum, Stockton Street Tunnel, Chinatown, Golden Gate Fortune Cookie Factory, Free Tea Tasting, The Original St. Mary's Church, Broadway, North Beach, Lawrence Ferlinghetti City Lights Book Store, Molinaris Deli, Victoria's Bakery, Upper Grant Street, St. Peter & Paul's Church, Lombard The Crooked Street, Coit Tower, Pier 39, Fishermens Wharf, The Cannery and more!

We also stop for meals at famous old Mom and Pop San Francisco deli's, bakery's and restaurants.

Depending on your selection our walking tour is recommended to get the full San Francisco streets experience.  We recommend that most visitors should see the North Beach, Chinatown, San Francisco Downtown and Fishermans Wharf area on foot.  This gives visitors a great overview of what San Francisco is all about and covers both its history and today's vibrant life.  There are many other neighborhoodGolden Gate Bridge From Ft. Points we can cover if you want.  Just let us know and we can customize the tour to your needs.

Dress in layers and casual since the weather changes fast and fog comes and goes during the summer seasons of April - September.  During the months of October to March there are less foggy days.

Our minimum fee is $300 for the day which covers 6 hours of touring with the two of us.  Emilie's complimentary photo service is also included.  We can extend your tour for an additional fee of $50 per hour, in 15 minute segments, starting with the seventh hour until you want to stop.  Food and venue entrance fees are your responsibility.  Time starts running when we meet you and ends when you want it to.

We will walk, use our famous cable cars ($5.00 each way), hop on and off open top buses ($20 - $33 for 48 hour pass and a lite rail system ($2.00 with a 4 hour transfer pass) to get around town.  These fees are paid by you for yourself and guests.  Our transportation and food fee's are paid by us.

Another option for those of you who don't want to walk much would be for you to rent a van that you drive yourself with our guidance or hire a private limousine or passenger van with a driver who can take us all around.  This is much more expensive but offers other options and allows us to cover a greater area faster.  We can recommend transportation companies if needed.  We suggest keeping your group to about 4 people plus Emilie and myself but the size of the group is up to you.

Should you decide to end the tour early there is no refund of any unused time.  We recommend starting around 11am to get everything in during day light hours, depending on time of the year, but taking the tour into the early evening is also fine.  We find most clients are ready to kick back and rest at their hotel after 6 - 8 hours of our private San Francisco tour.

A deposit of $100 by Visa, Master or Discovery Card at time of reservation is required, $200 will be charged the morning of the tour.  Any additional fees authorized by client during the tour are due on the completion of the tour by cash, VISA, MasterCard or Discovery card.

Cancellation policy is: full refund with 7 days notice, 50% refund with 6 - 3 days notice and no refund within forty-eight hours of the tour.

Contact us and tell us what your special interests might be and we will customize your tour to fit your needs.  If you prefer just leave it up to us and by the end of your tour you will have seen many historic places in San Francisco and then some.

Making reservations in advance is recommended but last minute reservations are fine since we might be available.  Just give us a call anytime from 9am - 9pm PST.
